There are times when we look back on how things were, and we chuckle and wonder how we ever lived that way — and other times we look back with that bit of nostalgic wonder and perhaps a bit of longing.  Either way, remembering how things were can give us a bit of perspective on how things are now, but it can also be a great way to escape the every day reality we are currently living with.

There is an entire generation that grew up not just after Leave it to Beaver went off Television, but after its constant re-runs tapered down to a more modest showing.  The kids of today are being raised by parents who probably grew up knowing Leave it to Beaver, and the Happy Hollisters are of the Cleaver’s generation.  Though where Ward Cleaver only had to deal with minor events in the lives of Wally and the Beav, the Hollister kids seem to get into more adventurous dealings, with solving mysteries and doing a bit of Scooby-Doo-esque amateur sleuthing.
